These private and small-group lessons are designed for students who desire to grow as skilled, confident artists through focused technical instruction and classical art training. Students will develop a strong foundation in the elements of art while learning traditional drawing and painting techniques used by artists throughout history.

    • shading and value

    • composition
    • color theory
    • graphite and charcoal techniques

These lessons include portfolio development! Each lesson is thoughtfully tailored to the student’s age, skill level, and artistic goals, creating a supportive environment where creativity and technical excellence can grow together.

Lessons range in price from $40/lesson for beginners or younger students to $70/lesson for advanced learners.

    Art Series

Classes run in 6–8 week series, each with a unique focus, and are intentionally limited to 12 students. This allows for hands-on instruction, personal attention, and a learning community modeled after the intentional teaching of Jesus—where students are known, supported, and encouraged to grow.

Summer (dates vary based on location)

This summer, students will explore the wonder of God’s creation through hands-on experiences that blend science and art in unforgettable ways. From examining real dinosaur and mammoth fossils, to experimenting with exploding paint, to dissecting flowers and turning them into art—each week invites curiosity, discovery, and creativity.

Students preview the science at home, then spend class time designing, experimenting, and creating. Each session begins with a short devotional connecting their work to God’s design.

This small-group experience (limited to 12 students) offers meaningful instruction and a truly unique approach to learning.

Materials through Time: A Hands-On Journey Through Art History

This immersive six-week studio experience invites students to travel through the history of art by working with authentic and historically inspired materials from each era. Students will create prehistoric cave paintings using natural pigments and imported clay, craft illuminated manuscripts with handmade egg tempera and gold leaf, sculpt classical forms, and explore the expressive techniques of the Renaissance and beyond.

More than an art class, this series allows students to experience how artists throughout history created beauty with the materials of their time — while reflecting on humanity’s God-given desire to create.

Land Art: Creating with God’s Creation

In this hands-on nature art series, students will explore the beauty of God’s world through the creative process of land art — using natural materials such as leaves, stones, flowers, sticks, clay, feathers, and earth to create temporary and meaningful works of art. Inspired by both historic and modern environmental artists, students will learn to observe nature closely, think creatively, and create with intention and wonder.

Each class combines art, nature study, and thoughtful discussion as students experiment with texture, pattern, sculpture, and design while working outdoors whenever possible. This series encourages imagination, stewardship of creation, and a deeper appreciation for the beauty God has woven into the natural world.

Perfect for curious and creative children who love to explore, build, collect, and create.

    Tuition: $480

Learn more about our Little Makers class!

    Little Makers (Ages 2-5)

Little Makers is a joyful, hands-on class where our youngest artists explore, create, and wonder at God’s world—alongside their curious little friend, Zaccheaus the Possum! Each week, Zaccheaus brings something special in his wonder basket to spark imagination, whether it’s a nature treasure, a simple science idea, or inspiration for our art.

Through playful projects, sensory exploration, and gentle science discoveries, children are invited to create, experiment, and delight in the beauty God has made. Each class includes a short devotional, guided making time, and space for little ones to explore at their own pace.

As we head into summer, Little Makers will begin weaving in more science-themed activities—perfect for curious minds and busy hands!

Little Makers runs year-round, even when older classes are not in session, making it a consistent and enriching experience for families.

    About Agape Arts Alternative Learning

    Meet the Teacher!

Hi, I’m Mrs. Morgan—artist, educator, and homeschooling mom.

My heart is to help students discover and develop their God-given gifts while grounding their creativity in biblical truth. Art has been part of my life since childhood, beginning at Bak Middle School of the Arts and continuing through A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts, where my love for both technical skill and creative exploration was deeply shaped.

Since then, I’ve worked as a portrait artist and illustrator, exploring a wide range of artistic media, while also discovering that my greatest joy comes from teaching. I was blessed to serve as the Creative Arts Program Manager at Urban Youth Impact, where God revealed a unique calling: creating thoughtful, engaging curriculum that intentionally pairs hands-on learning with biblical truth.

As a homeschooling mom, I understand the desire parents have for meaningful education—learning that nurtures the whole child, fosters creativity, builds character, and strengthens faith. Agape Arts was created from that heart: a place where students are known, encouraged, challenged, and inspired to grow with confidence and purpose.

If art is my first love, teaching is a very close second—and I can’t wait to learn, create, and grow alongside your family.
